Kick-Ass Cartoon Character Bracket Battle!
|
|
August 22, 2008 - Brad Smoley
In a world where cartoon character of all shapes, sizes, creeds and ethnic/animal persuasions bombard our senses with their constant streams of glimmeringly bright colors and sound effects, one website dares ask the question: "Which one of these animation-cell heroes is the best of the best?" That website, dear reader, is this one. DML is happy to present the Cartoon Character Bracket Battle! Sixty-four of the world's greatest ink and paint creations will go head to head to determine who's the cream of the cartoon crop. Think of it like "March Madness" without all of that gay basketball crap, but with awesome cartoon characters.
Each week, four new match-ups come your way. Every friday, you can vote on your favorite character to win each match-up to help determine the greatest cartoon character of all time. What criteria should you follow? Beats the hell outta me, man. Do I have to do everything for you? Maybe you wanna go with "who would win in a fight?" or "who reminds me more of my childhood?" or "who's taller?" I don't really care. Just vote! Tell your friends! Tell your friends to vote! Vote for your friends to vote.
There should be only one vote per voter... but if you figure out a way around it, I'm not gonna call the web detectives to come track you down. It should also be noted that certain "bracket busters" were eliminated from contention. For example. Bugs Bunny, Snoopy, Mickey Mouse and Homer Simpson were purposefully left out of the competition. They're cultural icons, for Pete's sake. However, cohorts of those characters may be represented below.
You can click on the following image to see an updated, ridiculously large version of the current brackets:

WEEK 17: CARTOON BRACKET BATTLE FINALS!

Be sure to come back EVERY FRIDAY for new Bracket Battle match-ups. If you need reminding, subscribe to our RSS feed! Thanks for voting! See you next week!

Opinions, we all have them. Our's is not the same as yours. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. The point is, if you don't agree fine. If you do agree, even better. Just realize this: everything said on these pages, is an opinion, and should be taken as such. If you are offended by what is said, just don't come back. Please do not resort to childish flaming or spamming of our message board or monk.e.mail address below, but do feel free to drop us a line with any intelligent comments you may have.
Thanks,
